Auctioned guitar autographed by Juan Luis Guerra in the first Golf Tournament


A guitar signed by the artist Juan Luis Guerra will be auctioned during the first Tone Golf Celebrities David Ortiz, to be conducted in the Campo de Golf Punta Espace Hotel in Cap Sanctuary Cap Cana from 4 to December 7 next.


Victor Díaz ties home run record in Dominican Baseball

SANTO DOMINGO .- Aguilas Cibaeñas´s slugger Victor Diaz tied last night one of most sacred records in Dominican Baseball by connecting its 14 home run of the season in a game where Aguilas Cibaeñas defeated Estrellas Orientales 9-5 at Tetelo Vargas Stadium.

By tying this record he put his name next to Dick Stuart, who imposed the record in 1957-58 seaon and Freddy García (1998-99).
With 16 games left for finishing the regular series, Diaz has every chance of breaking the mark more caressed in the Dominican baseball.

History of Tigres del Licey (dominican baseball team)

Tigres del Licey is a professional baseball team founded in 1907 based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It is one of the two franchises of the Capital city of the country, the oldest and second most winning team in Dominican league, having won 19 Dominican titles and 10 Caribbean World Series as of January, 2008. Some of their best players have been Pedro González (number 2), Alonso Perry (5), Manuel Mota (7), Guayubín Olivo (9), César Gerónimo (80), and Elvio Jiménez (11). Many of the best Dominican baseballers and Major League Baseball players have taken part in the long history of the Tigres, including Tom Lasorda, baseball hall-of-famer who took the team to the 1973 Caribbean World Series title. SANTO DOMINGO .- The Olympic champion Felix may not participate in the World Cup of boxing, to be held from 10 to 14 next month in Russia.

The dominican boxer was diagnosed with a muscle injury in the lumbosacral region and left iliac SOAS muscle stiffness.
