Dominican Baseball League cheat fans in thurday's Forfeit Game

SANTO DOMINGO .- Hundreds of fans left the old Quisqueya Stadium, after hearing the decision of "forfeit" for the Licey, the same as they lost their money.

Tigres del Licey and Gigantes del Cibao were suposed to play tonight at Quisqueya Stadium in Santo Domingo, but incredibly the baseball game was suspended by forfeit in benefit of Tigres del Licey.
The problem came because in yesterday's game, Gigantes del Cibao's second baseman- Felix Martinez aka "El Gatico" (little cat) was ejected because of his agresive manners against the umpire when he was struck out.
Look like that today's game the Baseball team based in San Francisco included Martinez in its line up, the team said that they didn't received the suspension on time and decided to leave the baseball field.
This is an incredible and patetic situation for fans, sponsors, the media and Baseball in general, now the Final Series is 3-0 winning the Licey team, but two of this victories has had a controversial umpires decision, in the future their rivals will say they didn't win in a clean way.
What a shame that this things still happen in the Dominican Baseball League, where their executives look more concerned in benefits and never think about the fans and the baseball ethics.

More than 10 countries will be in Dominican Boxing Cup

Organizers of the Independence Cup Boxing expect between ten and eleven countries attended the competition to be held from 21 to 26 next month at the Santiago Arena.
