Venezuela Will Change Soccer´s Uniform

The vice president of the Venezuelan Football Federation, Laureano Gonzalez said he was against the idea of the government of that country that the jersey of soccer (known as Red Wine) has the colors of the Venezuelan flag.

"For this cycle, until the World Cup in Brazil, we are registered with the burgundy in all football teams and can not be changed. It is not just trade agreements with Adidas and other brands, but a complete cycle," explained the leading to the press in his country.

In line with this, also ruled out changing the color selection only for adults. "We can not change the color of a selection and leave the other with burgundy. Now the tricolor mono, of course I can," he said.

Earlier, the venezuelan Sports Minister Héctor Rodríguez, stated that "there is general agreement with all the federations that uniformity should be tricolor. We can not go with a team uniform and the other not. "

"All countries where the competitions will use the colors of their flag and we can not be the exception," he said.

However, despite the claims made by the Venezuelan minister, is not always the case in which a selection jersey bearing the colors of their flag.

For example, the selection of Italy uses the blue even though the flag has the colors green, white and red.

The reason comes from the blue banner of the royal family of Savoy, kings of Italy after the unification of the country.

Holland, whose flag has white, blue and red, is another case. The "Clockwork Orange" owes its color to the royal family of the Netherlands, and recalls the struggle of the Netherlands against Spain.

The orange was the main color of the coat of arms of William of Orange, leader of the rebellion against King Philip II of Spain, El Prudente, who in 1568 led to the War of 80 years. Once the conflict ended in 1648, seven provinces, called United Provinces now forming the Netherlands, won independence from Spain.

In the case of Venezuela, the color "Red Wine" would be derived from the mixture of the colors of the Venezuelan flag.

Lebron and Kobe the most hated players

LeBron James scored his goal of joining the Miami Heat to have more options to win a league title and guard Kobe Bryant did it for the second consecutive year, but both do not drop anything good to the great American public.

James, when he was with the Cleveland Cavaliers it was estimated among the general public, their decision to leave and especially making the announcement in a televised news conference, did not sit well and it cost him to lose all the good image of which was "The King" of the NBA.

The company "Q Scores Company, which conducts surveys of popularity, has James as the sixth most hated figure in American professional sports, one place behind Bryan, who is fifth.

The results, known as the "Q Scores", were released Tuesday by the television channel CNBC and the same was not specified as these athletes are viewed by geographic area but throughout the national territory.

The way the public sees now James is completely opposite to what they thought before they take the decision to leave the Heat as a free agent to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, so their decline has been precipitous in paragraph of popularity and good image.

"Q Scores Company, which leads popularity polls, has James as the sixth most hated figure in American professional sports. The results known as the" Q Scores ", were released Tuesday by CNBC.

According to the report of the CNBA and data offered by "Q Scores" James is viewed negatively by 39 percent of the general population.

Last January, when he was the undisputed leader of the Cavaliers and his team winner, his figure and image was viewed positively by 24 percent of the population and 22 did so negatively.

"The positive endorsement LeBron (James) at that time (January) was the highest we had ever seen," said Henry Schafer, executive vice president "Q Scores", the television network CNBC.

The most recent tabulation of the company placed James in the fall of positive rating in the last seven months at 41.5 percent and maybe as you approach the start of the preseason, their perception is even worse.

"Q Scores" believes that James is viewed positively by only 14 percent of respondents.

James has faced all sorts of criticism and the various sectors of society for the way they did last July's announcement of leaving the Cavaliers and go with the Heat.

The first reacted little "friendly" and "diplomatic" was the actual owner of the Cavaliers, Dan Gilbert, who defined the action of hitherto franchise player like a "coward."

In addition to go further and question the professionalism of James when he said he had given up on the series of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Boston Celtics and the same thing had happened the previous year in the finals against the Orlando Magic.

"Instead of seeing your changes to the Heat as the best way to win a championship, many thought the way they decided to announce it as a selfish action," said Schafer, "CNBC."

James has already explained that his decision had no background to the sport and have the opportunity to achieve not only a league title but also make a great team and offer fans a brilliant show of basketball.

So far, none of his arguments have convinced the public and hence the image and popularity of James's not in the best, nor that of Bryant, which remains an unloved athlete outside the circle of followers the Lakers.

However, the most disliked sports personality and less beloved by the great American public is the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles Michael Vick, followed by the golfer Tiger Woods.

Up less than a year ago the sports model for the American public, has also fallen into "disgrace" after meeting all the "infidelity" outside the marriage that also cost him a divorce.

The Nationals said Strasburg, 22, will be discharged today and begin rehabilitation Monday at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California, near his home in San Diego.

Strasburg had his highly anticipated major league debut on June 8 at home against Pittsburgh and struck out 14 batters in seven strong innings. He finished his first season in the majors with a 5-3 record and 2.91 ERA in 12 starts, which struck out 92 opponents in 68 innings.

West Back with Celtics

Danny Ainge acknowledged that Delonte West's trade was one of the hardest decisions he had to take as president of basketball operations in Boston, but three years later he hopes that West, as the players by those who change in 2008, could help give the team a championship.

Ainge confirmed yesterday that the Celtics have signed with West, adding to free agent guard 6'4 feet for an impressive season for Boston.

The Boston Herald was the means which first reported the agreement.

"He was one of the boys more difficult to change," said Ainge, who sent West, Wally Szczerbiak, the No. 5 pick in the 2007 draft (Jeff Green), and a second-round pick, 2008 (Trent Plaisted) to Seattle in exchange for Ray Allen and the No. 32 pick in the 2007 draft (Glen Davis).

"I would do again, of course, but we liked Delonte when he was here. Although we were aware of the problems he had, we think Delonte is a better place today. It was not perfect, but all However, we have always liked as a player. "

The Celtics selected West as the total 24 pick in the NBA draft in 2004, in the middle of three first-round picks that included Al Jefferson (fifteenth overall pick) and Tony Allen (25 total). He spent three seasons in Boston, with a career average of 12.2 points along with 4.4 assists and 3 rebounds per game during the 2006-07 season (opening 47 of the 69 games he played).

West spent the last two seasons - campaigns marred by problems off the field - with the Cavaliers, keeping their best efforts for the playoffs from 2008 to 1909 before losing his starting job last year. Cleveland sent the Minnesota Timberwolves West last month and was cut shortly thereafter.

Ainge said that Boston had to West on his radar from the moment he was traded from Cleveland. While Ainge declined to comment on the terms of the agreement or if secured, is likely to find the lowest West veteran - most Boston can offer - that for a player in his sixth year is a little more $ 1 million. If this is a one-year contract, the league pays a portion of that salary, so Boston will only be on the hook for the salary of a veteran of two years, which would be $ 854.000.

If left in the opening day roster, West will not be eligible for the first ten games of the regular season due to suspension levied by the league after a guilty plea on charges of carrying arms in the state of Maryland in July. Would be available for the game number 11 of the Celtics, on November 17 when they visit the Washington Wizards.

Ainge acknowledged the burden that is accompanied by West, but said he believes he is returning to a positive situation with a team that will welcome you with open arms.

"There is a familiarity with the roster and a familiarity with the players," Ainge said. "Paul [Pierce] and Rajon [Rondo], especially, were big fans of playing with him. I am a fan of Delonte."

Ainge said the team spent much time trying to understand the mental health of West (who suffers from bipolar disorder) and the care required to help. Said the team is comfortable with the idea of working with the player to keep on track.

West provides a much-needed depth on the perimeter. While Ainge does not project a clearly defined role for West, preferring to let it be decided at the training camp, is likely to compete with Von Wafer West for first place in the reserve behind Ray Allen.

For his career, West, 6.4 ft., has averaged 10 points, 3.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game. Neither Ainge nor the coach, Doc Rivers, nor the captain, Pierce, were shy in the offseason to note that the Celtics wanted another sniper. West has a total mark of 44.6 percent from the field in her career and, while his three-point shot is average at best, have a good game from mid-range that should fit well coming off the bench for Boston.

West can also distribute the ball, adding depth to a position of point guard that he needed people behind Rondo last season.

Ainge also refused to close the door to more off-season moves, though this has already been a shower of signings, and suggested that it will evaluate once the season really is over.

Rumors resounded on all sides this week saying that West was in the Boston area. The Herald reported Tuesday in its gossip column, "Inside Track" that West was found searching for apartments in Waltham (site of the Boston practice facility), while an informant told Red's Army, one of the popular blog Celtics, who had been in West New England Baptist Hospital for a checkup before signing on Tuesday.
