MLB Forbids Dominican Players Playing in DR

A total of 83 Dominican players were limitations to play the next season of winter ball, according to the agreement between the Caribbean leagues and MLB.

The team most affected by the local ball is that of the Tigres del Licey, with 19 players, among them are the names of Ronny Paulino, Esmil Rogers, Ubaldo Jimenez, Carlos Marmol, Onelio Perez, Hanley Ramirez and Alberto Arias.

Al Licey followed Leones del Escogido with 16 other prominent figures for the club as Starlin Castro, Fernando Martinez, Melky Mesa, Carlos Santana and Fernando Tatis.

Aguilas Cibaeñas have 15 outside, with Jose Arredondo, Alberto Alburquerque, Joaquin Benoit, Fausto Carmona, Johnny Cueto, Samuel Dedun, Juan Nicasio, Leo Nuñez, Santos Rodriguez, Wandy Rodriguez and Carlos Villanueva as those left out.
