USA won dominicans in Baseball

Cuba and the United States reaffirmed their status as favorites in the FIBA Americas Championship baseball played in Puerto Rico, by winning on Tuesday against Canada and the Dominican Republic to emerge as leaders in their groups and ensure their participation in the second round event.

Céspedes Yoennis a double with the bases loaded in the sixth inning put the final figures of 4-2 meeting in which Cuba beat Canada to get their fourth straight win and stay top of Group B, followed by Venezuela ( 4-1), Canada (2-2), Nicaragua and Argentina (1-3), and Netherlands Antilles (0-3).

At a meeting for Group A, United States won Dominicans 8-3.

Americans sentenced actions in the third inning with a five-run rally and gave the coup de grace with an additional hairline in the fourth inning. First baseman Eric Hosmer was the most productive U.S., connecting 4-3 with a run scored and a trailer.

For the dominicans, veteran Tony Batista homered and singled in four appearances at the plate.

United States (4-0) leads Group A, escorted by Panama (3-1), Puerto Rico (3-2) and the Dominican Republic (2-2). Colombia (1-4) and Aruba (0-4) bring up the rear and left with no option of moving to the next phase.
