Dead Dominican Baseball team is remembered

The 32 dominican baseball players who died in an accident in 1948 in Rio Verde, Yamasa, were remembered yesterday by family, friends and sports organizations during a ceremony at the cemetery of the 30th of March.

The ceremony, developed in front of the mausoleum where the remains of athletes, started at 10 am with the National Anthem performance by the Banda Municipal de Música, followed by the words of President of the Association of Sports Writers Santiago (ACDS), Rafael-Fellito-Ortiz, who thanked the Dominican Baseball League (Lidom) the winter to dedicate this tournament to the fallen in the mountains of the community of Yamasa.
