Simon Headed to Court


The
Orioles pitcher Alfredo Simon accused of killing a 25 year old in his native Dominican Republic during a New Year celebration attended a trial in his country, according to the statement by Associated Press in the Dominican.

Simon, 30, was in Puerto Plata in the Dominican, heard before a judge and was back in the United States later on Monday and the team started the game at Double-A on Tuesday night in Richmond.


On Tuesday it came the best presentation of Simon for the Baysox, the team who pitched six scoreless innings, allowed three hits, walked two and struck out four, after throwing 53 of his 83 pitches for strikes.

The dominican was not available for comment after the game ended.

Simon is in list of unrestricted and should be promoted to the 25-man roster the Orioles or be released on Sunday.
