Small Cars are safer in USA


The
U.S. small cars are much safer than five years ago, said the Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS for its acronym in English) after impact tests on 13 vehicles.

IIHS said that six of the 13 vehicles tested were the highest possible score, so they got a grade of 'Best Safety Pick', and that none of the cars performed poorly on tests.


The six vehicles have now achieved the highest score are: 2012 Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, 2011, CT Lexus 200h (hybrid), Nissan and Toyota Juke Prius (hybrid).

The other seven vehicles IIHS analyzed were: Dodge Caliber, Honda CR-Z (hybrid) Honda Insight (hybrid), Nissan Sentra, Nissan Versa, Scion xD and Suzuki SX4.

IIHS said that any small car performed poorly in crash tests and dump 'is a turnaround from a few years ago when small cars barely getting the best marks in security. "
