Darren Clarke won British Open

Darren Clarke managed the coup and yesterday the first "Major" of his career by winning the British Open Golf at Royal St. George in Sandwich (UK).


The golfer, 42, with 21 career, signed a card on the eve of five under par after four days (275) and leads by three shots at his pursuers, Americans Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson.

The last two holes for bogeys Clarke finished with two separate, but nonetheless, it did not endanger their victory.


"It's really amazing, I played well, I did what I had to do. In the last two holes just tried not to make any stupid mistake and be careful," he said.
