FIFA suspendeds Dominican Football President

FIFA imposed sanctions against seven leaders of Caribbean football, including the president of the Dominican Federation of Football, Osiris Guzman, in a bribery case involving former presidential candidate Mohamed bin Cup Hammamm.

In addition, FIFA exonerated Felix Ledesma, considering that there was no breach of the Code of Ethics.

FIFA suspended for 30 days to Guzman, a period which shall not engage in any activity related to football, be they sports or any other kind.

The Ethics Commission dismissed the last fifteen days of the suspension, subject to a probationary period of six months. He will pay 300 Swiss francs (U.S. $ 336).

The panel reviewed the evidence to determine whether members of the Caribbean Football Union received payments of $ 40,000 from bin Hammam in May.
