Treanor will coach Tigres del Licey

American baseball man Dean Treanor was introduced as the new manager of the dominican baseball team Tigres del Licey via videoconference Wednesday in the offices of the organization at the Estadio Quisqueya.

Treanor, 64, and who is the current manager of Indianapolis, triple A team of Pittsburgh Pirates, is in his sixth season in the Dominican League. He will be the manager 55 of the most popular baseball team in the Dominican Republic.
The office of Baseball Operations Treanor elected after Mike Guerrero and Eduardo Perez  who were recent finalists in the list of potential managers. Treanor, a native from California, led Leones del Escogido  in 2006,under the management of Pablo Peguero, but was laid off in the first half of November, then returned for four consecutive years with the Toros from la Romana from 2008 to 2012.With his last team, he went to a Caribbean Series, won two third places, one second, fifth and title of the local winter 2011.
